An Official Visit to the Pride of Surrey Council

After the Council was opened the Assistant District Grand Director of Ceremonies, Ill.Comp. Simon McCarthy, was admitted and advised the Thrice Illustrious Master, Ill.Comp. Richard Veness, that the Right Illustrious District Grand Master was in the ante room and demanded admission to the Council. The District Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team and was welcomed by the Thrice Illustrious Master. Also present was the Past District Grand Master, R.Ill. Comp. Arnold Long, an Honorary Member of the Council. The District Grand Master presented Ill.Comp. Dan Turner with his Silver Trowel Certificate.

Ill.Comp. Richard Veness installed Comp. Chris Eley as Thrice Illustrious Master for the year. Comp. Barry Northmore was appointed and invested as the Deputy Master and Comp. Tim Ford was appointed and invested as the Principal Conductor of the Work.

To end a most enjoyable afternoon, the Companions of the Pride of Surrey Council and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Sutton Masonic Hall.

In the evening the Companions of the Pride of Surrey Council and their guests dined together in perfect harmony honouring loyal and Masonic toasts.
