The Annual Meeting of the District Grand Council of Surrey
Due to the suspension of Masonic activity the December 2020 Annual Meeting of the District Grand Council of Surrey in the Allied Masonic Degrees was held as a Virtual Business Meeting using the Zoom video conferencing tool.
The District Grand Prefect, RW.Bro. John French, declared the meeting open and welcomed all present.
There were many Surrey Cryptic Companions attending, including our District Grand Master, David Blackburn, our District Grand Director of Ceremonies, Simon McCarthy, and our Assistant District Grand Recorder, Chris Eley.
The District Grand Prefect announced that the District has supported Simon McCarthy’s 2022 mile Bike Ride and the Surrey Mark 2022 Festival and congratulated Simon on his magnificent achievement.
After confirming the District Appointments and Promotions the District Grand Prefect addressed District Grand Council.
Before the meeting was closed the Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother Thomas Firth Jackson thanked the District Grand Prefect for inviting him to the meeting and said how much he had enjoyed himself.
The District Grand Prefect thanked everyone for attending and declared the meeting closed. Afterwards the Zoom remained open for a few minutes to allow everyone to chat together before saying goodbye.
