An Executive Visit to the Chelsea Council

In September 2019, R.Ill. Comp. David Blackburn, District Grand Master, together with a number of District Grand Officers made an Official Visit to Chelsea Council No 72.

An Executive Visit to the Chelsea Council After the Council was opened the Assistant District Grand Director of Ceremonies, Ill.Comp. Alan Boniface, was admitted and advised the Thrice Illustrious Master, Ill.Comp. Chris Cradock, that the Right Illustrious District Grand Master was in the ante room and demanded admission to the Council. The District Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team, was welcomed by the Thrice Illustrious Master to the Chelsea Council and, on behalf of the companions, wished him a most enjoyable visit.

The District Grand Master introduced his team thanking them for their support. The main item on the agenda was to Install Comp. David Grimmer as Thrice Illustrious Master. This was done in an excellent manner by Ill.Comp. Chris Cradock. Comp. Mark Donovan was appointed and invested as the Deputy Master and Comp. Roger Short was appointed and invested as the Principal Conductor of the Work.

An Executive Visit to the Chelsea Council The District Grand Master congratulated Ill. Comp. David and wished him an enjoyable year as the Thrice Illustrious Master of Chelsea Council.

An Executive Visit to the Chelsea Council After appointing and investing his Officers the Thrice Illustrious Master had much pleasure in presenting a cheque for £500 to the Right Illustrious District Grand Master for charitable purposes.

An Executive Visit to the Chelsea Council The Right Illustrious District Grand Master thanked the members of the Council for their generous donation and assured them it would be faithfully applied.

The Council then approved a motion to offer honorary membership to R.Ill.Comp. Eric Trodd, which was carried with acclaim. The District Grand Master and Provincial Officers of the Year retired in procession under the direction of the Assistant District Grand Director of Ceremonies and the Council was closed in due form.

An Executive Visit to the Chelsea Council After photographs and a few drinks in the bar, the Companions of the Chelsea Council and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Surbiton Masonic Centre.
