An Executive Visit to Surrey Council

The Installation meeting of the Surrey Council No 88 took place in June. Present, was our recently appointed District Principal Conductor of the Work, Ill.Comp. David Thompson, and the Past District Grand Master R.II.Comp. Arnold Long.

The T.I.M., Ill.Comp. David Harrison opened the Council. Ill.Comp. Steve Rowlands, DistDepGDC, entered the Council and informed the Thrice Illustrious Master that Ill.Comp. David Thompson, District Principal Conductor of the Work, was without and demanded admission to the Council.

The District Principal Conductor of the Work entered and was offered the gavel. After introducing the Provincial Officers present and taking the minutes he vacated the Chair so the ceremony of Installation could be conducted.

Ill.Comp. David Harrison thanked the Companions of the Council for the support he had received from everyone during his year as Thrice Illustrious Master. Ill.Comp. David invited Ill.Comp. Gary Raggett to occupy the Deputy Master’s Chair for the Installation, and Ill.Comp. Colin Spenser Townson to occupy the Chair of P.C.W.

Il.Comp. Simon Polkinghorne was obligated, invested and installed as Thrice Illustrious Master for the year in a very warm and sincere manner by Ill.Comp. David Harrison. Comp. John Enscoe was appointed and invested as the Deputy Master and Ill.Comp. Hugh Everett was appointed and invested as the Principal Conductor of the Work.

An Executive Visit to Surrey Council The District Principal Conductor of the Work congratulated Ill.Comp. Simon and wished him and the Companions of the Council a successful and enjoyable year.

An Executive Visit to Surrey Council After the customary photographs and a few drinks in the bar, the Companions of the Surrey Council and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Sutton Masonic Centre.
